How do we take pictures and film?

Aerial pictures and videos are taken with a drone. To create more complete videos, we also use professional video camera. To top it off, we use various kinds of stabilizing equipment to make the videos more cinematic and fluid.

What is a drone?

A drone, also know as a "UAV" (unmanned aerial vehicule) is a aerial device without passengers or pilot which is controlled with a remote controller on the ground. Hop Media uses drones equipped with cameras to film and take pictures from the sky. It has now become a must in video production.

The law says that a permission (COAS) emitted from Transport Canada must be received prior to any drone activity. To obtain this permit, a detailed description of the aerial operations must be written down and sent to a specialized team at Transport Canada.

Once the permit received, the drone pilot can fly his drone following the various requirement given by the permit.
